Hello friends and family!! We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you! Some of you may know one half and not the other of our perfect pair, so allow us to introduce ourselves (and slide in some cute couples pics 😉 ).

Jacob’s hobbies include playing his guitar and writing original songs for Hannah. He is also an avid outdoors man enjoying hiking, fishing, archery, and running. Currently, he works with a construction company based in Tacoma. Some of his favorite things include hamburgers, vanilla ice cream, the color blue, action movies, and leading worship.

Hannah’s hobbies include singing, dancing, and writing stories. She enjoys exploring outdoor spaces (especially if Jacob is exploring with her) and is a proponent for trying new things. Currently Hannah is a full-time student at Pierce College Puyallup and will receive her two year Associates of Arts degree by the end of March. Some of her favorites include old movies, rom-coms, hard-cover books, sushi, the color purple, and dancing.

The Story of Us

From Hannah’s perspective: Jacob’s and my paths have crossed multiple times throughout our childhoods but we didn’t officially meet until church one Sunday in 2015. After that our families attended multiple homeschool activities together where Jacob and I got a chance to spend some time together and get to know each other more. The first inklings of my crush started at a homeschool skate day at Tiffany Skate. Jacob came skating up behind me and struck up a conversation. Turns out it would be the longest conversation he would have with me until much later in our relationship 😉 I had mistakenly worn a sweatshirt that day and even though I was sweating and way overheated as we turned around and around the rink, I wouldn’t let myself stop skating. I was afraid he would go away… little did I know he had no intentions of leaving 🙂 We talked off and on after that and my affection for him continued to grow. When I left for Japan to live for two months we began a season of constant emailing each other and my family got very used to my phone buzzing and the tell-tale ringtone I had picked just for his emails. When Jacob expressed interest in dating me I told him that I had made a promise to myself to wait until I was 17 to start dating and so we were VERY devoted friends until my birthday day when we started dating. Our first date was at the fairgrounds (as my birthday coincides with the fall fair) and then a sushi dinner night where we finally got to say those words that had been at the tip of our tongues for oh so long. “I love you.” We’ve been saying those words to each other every day ever since and I plan to keep telling Jacob ’till the day I die.

From Jacob’s perspective: I met Hannah, I loved her very much. God told me to marry her, and I am. Done 😉
